How’s your festive shopping going?? Are you having a tough time finding the perfect pair to look your best this festive season? I know, It can be quite a torture for some, coz you have so many mind-blowing designer out in market with their even more beautiful designs and you can’t choose one.
Well, I have one such outfit for you that I fell in love with on the first sight itself. Its dressy, its elegant, its Indian, its colourful & its Traditional to fit the festive norm. But you do not always have to follow the norms, you know. Maybe, let’s not go completely western but going Indo-Western never harms anyone. Moreover it adds so much edginess to the look.
This story is in collaboration with SHREE KALASHREE DESIGN STUDIO – A studio that offers vibrant and unique designs based in Vadodara, Gujarat. You can check my previous story with them HERE.
So, talking about this particular beauty that I am wearing, isn’t it gorgeous? I have always loved the idea of adding a pretty full length jacket over an Indian Anarkali dress and make it look all Indo-western. But I never really got a change to dress up this way.
This dress is perfect to rock your festive look. It has got the right amount of colour and embroidery. I am completely in love with the colour pallet. This Amethyst Orchid kind of shade with a mixed hue of Cashmere Rose Pink shade, is so perfect. It can come out beautifully on everyone with fair to medium skin tone. The dress is on Bandhani base fabric with white bandhej. Bandhani is a traditional tie & dye art of Rajasthan. The fabric is called Bandhani and act of tying and creating patterns is called bandhej. The full length jacket in poppy pink is so festive and takes it to new levels. It is something you can opt for when you want to make a heavy statement look. The fit and cut really matters here. The jacket tends to make you look taller, so choose wisely. The heavy embroidery on the jacket is a feast.
If you think the jacket would look too much for your festive look, you are free to skip it & can make your look minimally chic as I always like to do it. The dress has got such pretty embroidered sleeves and it covers it all up for the jacket. The embroidery is in both golden (more like copper) and silver, so bingo! You can add any metal jewellery to it. I teamed it up with a netty golden-ish shade dupatta to take it more Indian way. Lastly, my favourite green minakari earrings to pump up the look and add a new colour to my ensemble. Finishing it up with my all-time favourite gold CATWALK heels.
